Above: Autumn sunrise.
Below: The cabin in summer. So far we have encountered moose, beaver,
pelicans, loons, an osprey, an eagle family and many other creatures. No bears, yet, and we are kind of hoping to keep it
that way. Update: still haven't seen a bear but there is
a tree stump newly uprooted beside the cabin which is probably not the work of chipmunks.

folks nearby say there hasn't been a grizzly seen in more than 30 years. Black bears can, of course, be dangerous butrarely
. So let's home this is a nice one. We are trying to be sensible by not leaving food around, etc.
