Hi. Welcome to our home page. We are having all kinds of adventures including rebuilding an old cottage and several bouts
of fairly serious ill health. I'm just about to cancel our one way tickets to Shanghai which is painful but not as nasty as
Ray being in China with his current respiratory problems. The plan was to meander around South East Asia and fly home from
Mumbai or Delhi in the spring. Maybe we are getting too old for this kind of tripping.
So, the cottage project will be ongoing through the winter. Here's a photo of where it all began. The property is on a
small lake and was originally an old farmhouse. It's a dream come true except for some little details like mosquitoes, black
flies, no see ums (midges), and the fact that every square inch of the place needs work. We're not complaining, though. Today
an bald eagle circled over our heads and the fall colors are glorious.:

The cottage "Before"
(October 2011)
needs more than just a few updates:
1st, a new foundation and carport
2nd, a bathroom instead of an outhouse.
But some things can only
be done in summer so
the bathroom has to wait.
The next stage shows
things getting worse
instead of better.
And finally
(October 2012)
some real progress
- we estimate the job is
1/5 of the way through
in a mere five months
of hard work.
